Claude Monet stayed in Sandvika for some time in 1895, and during his stay he became quite fond of "Løkke bro" and a wooden house beside the bridge. He painted this motif a few times, and the little wooden house is now known as the "Monet-house".
I have been granted the honorable project of decorating the walls inside the Monet-house, soon to open as "Black Pepper", an Indian restaurant. The design is deep blue combined with golden Indian details, and I was asked to illustrate Indian culture and heritage in colorful murals.
So far I have painted two murals, and I absolutely love painting these! You can see process reels of these on my instagram account @art_bymarlen
